The Lighthouse Festival

Burnett Heads, Queensland

About the Lighthouse Festival

The Lighthouse Festival is a celebration of the lifestyle, culture, and opportunity of the Bundaberg region. The festival is based in Burnett Heads, gateway to the southern Great Barrier Reef, with the town’s historic lighthouse forming a symbolic centre-piece for the fun and entertainment.  The Lighthouse Festival seeks to highlight some our great Bundaberg region talent and businesses as well as give locals the chance to experience some things they may not otherwise get the chance to do. Above all, we want to provide a great day out at a reasonable cost.

After attending the lighthouse festival, my boys (3 and 5) wanted me to paint them the old and new lighthouses. My art skills usually go as far as mum drawings and stick figures for patient exercise programs... I think they turned out pretty well! Thanks for the inspiration! Burnett Head Lighthouses, old and new!
